A job transfer took him to CT where he was employed as Controller at Seaboard Metal Finishing of West Haven and later as Marketing Manager of EMS of Bridgeport, CT. He was a graduate of Northwestern University and an employee of Argonne National labs of Illinois. The 17th Bombardment Wing crew flew 30-night missions over North Korea. John served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and was an Airman Second Class and flight crew member of a 8-26 bomber. He was born in New Kensington, PA on March 7, 1932, a son of the late James and Mary Jane (Huston) Conroy.
